This article, investigates habit formation, durability and envious phenomenon in consumption expenditures of Iranian households. For empirical study, at first, we constructed two weighted portfolio of the main assets return that households hold them. Then, by using generalized method of moments, we examined some models with habit formation, durability and envious effects in pattern of households’ consumption for 1979-2012period. The results show that for semi-durable goods, the effect of habit persistence dominates the effect of durability in consumption expenditures and for durable goods vice versa. Also, For semi durable and durable goods the effect of durability dominated the effect of habit formation. Furthermore, the results indicate that coefficient of envious effect is about 65 percent. This evidence shows that relative consumption is important for Iranian households.

In this study, technical efficiency and energy efficiency (as a particular input) in the petrochemical industry of Iran is evaluated by using Data Envelopment Analysis method during years 1313-1381. In this study, each year is considered as a DMU that the technical efficiency and energy efficiency is compared with the petrochemical industry in the different years. The results show that, during time period in this study, technical efficiency for petrochemical industry is 01111 and for energy is 01288. These results mean that in the petrochemical industry in during the study time period, about 0131 of energy has been wasted relatively. The conclusions also show that, the efficiency in petrochemical industry and also energy efficiency are relatively high in the years 1313, 1318 and 1312, but they are low for the years 1315, 1381 and 1381.

Non-performing loans have become the most important challenge in the Iranian banking system in recent years, especially in regard with the bank-base financial market of Iran's economy. Theoretical literatures points to two factors involved in this issue: internal and external. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the bank internal factors in generating non-performing loans in Iranian banks. Thus, identifying the ways such factors affect non-performing loans can be helpful for the enhancement of banks operations. In this paper; the bank size, credit risk, efficiency, structure, and ownership of banks are employed as influential indices which affect non-performing loans. The method which is used is a Panel Data regression analysis during the period of 2007- 2011. The results indicate that the bank size and credit risk have a positive significant relationship with non-performing loans and bank efficiency, but bank structure has a negative relationship with non-performing loans. The other findings of this study demonstrate the double effect of bank ownership on creating of non-performing loans in the Iranian banking system.

Higher education in Iran experienced an obvious quantitative growth in recent years due to the emphasis on its quantitative development. It is clear that the continuation of this growth can cause some problems in the future that need special attention. Here we studied the effect of rapid quantitative development in higher education on balance between supply and demand for skilled labor force in the country. Increasing demand for higher education and expanding educational opportunities leaded to increasing number of university graduates. On the other hand, economic downturn decreased job opportunity and consequently increasing in unemployment of educated class of the society. Here, we studied the labor market in Yazd province, supply and demand of labor force and its influencing factors to find a solution for unemployment problem in university graduates.

With regard to the simultaneous relationship between risk and capital , the main determinants of behavior of commercial and Specialized banks during 2001-2009(1380-1388) period was main question of the present paper.Using 2SLS-RE and GMM methods our results show that the endogeneity of two variables(risk and capital) cannot be rejected and on the other hand, the behavior of banks has influenced by; profitability, size of banks, banking reforms and loan losses variables. Also, its worth to note that there is no significant relationship between risk based capital and budget based loans (credits recommended by government).

Regarding the fact that Iran is an acceding member of the WTO and the growing importance of trade in services in this organization, the effects of trade in services on economic growth are examined in this paper. By employing dynamic panel data and GMM approach, the findings indicate that there has been a positive effect on economic growth due to trade development and liberalization in services in acceded countries. However, this effect is different in each subsector of services, in which, trade in financial services has most effect on economic growth; then, business, transportation and travelling have more effect respectively. Therefore, according to the result of this paper, the priorities of trade liberalization in services subsectors are recommended by the degree of trade effects in each subsector on economic growth which is one of the most crucial indicators in economic performance.
